The Institute for Web Science and Technologies makes available its first software prototype for gaze controlled browsing the Web. The software „GazeTheWeb“ is developed in the EU project MAMEM and allows the user to operate a web browsing environment using only his or her eyes. A customized interface for operating twitter has been already developed and many more are yet to come.
MAMEM is a research project funded by the European Union. Its goal is to empower disabled people to autonomously use the Web by eye tracking and bio-measurement technology. Institute WeST is leading the work package on signal processing for interaction control.
