Dissertation on Trajectory Extraction by WeST employee Zeyd Boukhers[go to overview]
WeST staff member Zeyd Boukhers, former employee of the Research Group for Pattern Recognition at the University of Siegen, successfully defended his dissertation on September 26, 2017. The topic of his dissertation is "3D Trajectory Extraction from 2D Videos for Human Activity Analysis". His research dealt with the problem of extracting three-dimensional trajectories of objects from two-dimensional vidoes. These trajectories symbolise high-level interpretations of human activities. The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. -Ing. habil. Marcin Grzegorzek at University of Siegen, who is a former WeST member. As of last week, Mr Boukhers is now allowed to carry his academic title Dr.-Ing. All colleagues at WeST congratulate Zeyd Boukhers on this great achievement.
