WeST Co-organises Workshop on Trust in Online Crowd Work at WebSci16

[go to overview]

When it comes to online crowd work, trust is key work for environments and user experience. Current crowdsourcing platforms, however, focus on anonymity. This leads to potential dissatisfaction, uncertainty and consequently lack of trust. The workshop „Weaving Relations of Trust in Crowd Work: Transparency and Reputation across Platforms“ at the Web Science 2016 conference addresses this issue.  The goal is to analyse different aspects of trust in online crowd work and to discuss requirements, methods, techniques and studies that aim to boost transparency in crowdsourcing.

Crowdsourcing researchers are invited to submit experimental, demo or position papers until March 19. The complete call for papers can be found at http://trustincrowdwork.west.uni-koblenz.de/cfp.

WeST takes part in the organisation of the workshop (by Cristina Sarasua) and is represented in the programme committee with Steffen Staab and Markus Strohmaier.
