LITEQ: Language Integrated Types, Extensions and Queries for RDF Graphs

The exploration and integration of linked data into programming environments has to deal with two different data represen- tation principles. While linked data sources use the very flexible, ex- tensible RDF data model and often provides incomplete data, program- ming languages, compiler and IDEs rely on known type systems and explicit schema information in order to process their data. Accordingly, programming environments need access and extraction mechanisms to obtain structured information from external RDF data sources. In this paper, we present our integrated approach LITEQ and the Node Path Query Language (NPQL), a language to integrate, explore and query linked data via SPARQL endpoints within programming environments. We describe the syntax of the language, its usage and its semantics at development, compile and run time of programs.
