We, the Institute for Web Science and Technologies (WeST), conduct research on many topics related to modern Web technologies and contribute publications to premier conferences and high-ranking journals. The Master of Science in Web and Data Science teaches specialized knowledge for analysing data and for designing and developing Web and data-intensive systems. Germane to such development and analysis is the understanding of the Web and data ecosystems as being multi-faceted, governed by technologies, economics, and social interactions of humans, interest groups, companies and governments. We are looking for researchers with a very good master's degree or doctorate from a University (or equivalent). Eligible applicants are interested in many scientific domains, gladly collaborate with colleagues from other scientific disciplines, and can precisely identify and carefully solve computer science-related issues with their well-grounded programming capabilities.
