Dr. Tina Walber (until recently computer scientist at Institute WeST), Christoph Schaefer (computer scientist at WeST), Marius Heinen (business economist) and Christian Latsch (graduate of computational visualistics) received the IKT funding award (round 1/2014) for their start-up idea "blick." ("Blickpunkt").
With their concept, agencies, e-commerce companies as well as software companies can conduct decentralised eye-tracking studies for their products directly at the homes of the testers. Until now such studies could only be conducted centrally.
The jury appreciated that "blick." can attract new focus groups in e-commerce and software industry which until now refrained from similar usability tests due to their high costs. Furthermore the jury acknowledged that the software features will prevent quick plagiarism.
On 5th September, Brigitte Zypries (Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy) awarded the IKT prize at the Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin. The "blick."-team receives 30.000 EUR as financial aid to start their project. In addition, experts from a national coaching network will accompany the team on their first steps into professional independence.
