GazeMining Project presents the enhanced representation method for usability analysis

In the GazeMining project, the Institute for Web Science and Technologies and the start-up company EYEVIDO are working together on the future of usability analysis of modern websites. Towards this goal, the representation of Web pages is an imperative aspect to support the analysis for pertinent gaze data mapping and visualization. In the paper "Enhanced Representation of Web Pages for Usability Analysis with Eye Tracking" we propose a method that identifies fixed elements on Web pages and combines user viewport screenshots in relation to fixed elements for an enhanced representation of the page. The work will be presented at the 2018 ACM symposium on eye tracking (ETRA) in Warsaw, June 2018. A video demonstration of the newly developed method is already available.
