A Quick Overview of Data Provenance
[go to overview]
Data provenance remains a hot topic across various fields of study. From data models, where the need to store provenance information (e.g., as some form of metadata annotation) is well known, to the tracing of provenance through querying operations and programming languages where query results are subject to further complex transformations. This talk will give a quick overview of three noteworthy examples of approaches that deal with the second half of these challenges, namely the tracking of provenance through query and programming operations.
